GENL 1110 International Students: The American Life
This course is designed to support international students in transitioning to life in the United States. It focuses on navigating administrative systems and understanding the American educational structure, particularly as it exists at Augustana. Recognizing that shifting from home in another country to college in the US can be challenging, the course provides essential information, guidance, and resources to foster a smooth adjustment and build a foundation for success. Through this course, students will gain tools to launch their college careers effectively, adapt to a new culture and environment, and achieve academic success. Additionally, the course covers important responsibilities and regulations specific to international students, including maintaining compliance with visa requirements.
