NURS 4010 Nursing and Health Care in the United States
This course focuses on supporting international student nurses through their immersion experiences during their exchange program at Augustana. Emphasis is placed on orientation to the US nursing scope of practice and standards and holistic care of individuals and families experiencing varying degrees of wellness and illness. Standards of quality and safety relating to patient care are discussed. Learning activities include seminar and clinical experiences in skills lab, simulation, and patient care. Open to international Nursing students only.
