BIOL 2900 Biology Seminar I

This is a required course for Biology majors and is usually taken in the spring of the second year. This course is designed to help students prepare graduate school/ professional school applications and/or job and internship searches. Topics include search strategies, CVs, cover letters, letters for recommendation, and interviewing skills. The seminar is also a place to reflect on the completion of the Biology major core curriculum and its delivered content and skills.This is a two-course sequence offered over two semesters (the second being BIOL 4900) due to the required attendance of at least six scientific presentations hosted by the department or outside venues that showcase current findings and research across biological disciplines.
