MPRO 2261 Video Production I

This course introduces the user interface, tools, and workflows of major non-linear video editing platforms, including Final Cut, Premiere, and Avid. Students will learn essential editing techniques such as media organization, sequence assembly, refinement, effects, titling, and exporting. Lessons span multiple class sessions, each focusing on a key editing phase. Weekly assignments vary in complexity, with additional time expected for reading, study, and hands-on practice in the lab. By the end, students will demonstrate core video editing skills and a working knowledge of each platform.
