Unit of Instruction and Course Load
Augustana grants academic credit using the semester hour as the basic unit of instruction. Students taking 9 credit hours or more in a regular semester and 3 to 4 credit hours in the January term are regarded as full-time students. While the definition of full-time and part-time status remains consistent across all graduate programs, it is important to note that Augustana offers graduate programs with varied academic calendars, including traditional semesters, mini-mesters, and trimesters. Students should consult their specific program's academic structure to understand how full-time enrollment is applied within their program.
