Dual Degree Program in Engineering
In the Dual Degree Engineering Program students attend Augustana for 3 or 4 years and then
complete the program with 2 years at an affiliated engineering school. This enables the student
to combine the advantages of a broad liberal arts education with their technical
education. Students earn a Bachelor of Arts from Augustana and a Bachelor of Science in
Engineering from the engineering school. Cooperative plans are in place with Columbia
University (New York), South Dakota State University (Brookings), and Washington University
(St. Louis).
Associated programs of study include nearly all major areas of engineering. This program has historically provided exceptionally strong career opportunities.
The dual degree coordinator on campus helps students select the proper courses to take
depending upon which engineering school and which program they wish to enter.
