DPTH 6821 Professional Competencies II
Students continue to learn about essential competencies in communication, advocacy, interprofessional collaboration, and technology in physical therapy practice. Students will explore strategies for effective communication with diverse audiences, considering how individual beliefs and external factors influence interactions. Emphasis is placed on interprofessional teamwork, educational approaches across the lifespan, and promoting optimal patient outcomes. The course examines professional and patient advocacy and the role of technology in physical therapy. Students will explore digital tools, telehealth, and practice management systems, and gain foundational knowledge in coding and billing practices. Students continue to develop professional skills for effective and ethical physical therapy practice.
