OTDP 6533 Leadership and Advocacy
This course covers the principles of leadership and advocacy essential for individual and professional growth and protection of the occupational therapy scope of practice. Integration of knowledge and skills to advocate for patients and programs by influencing the regulatory environment, and refinement and evaluation of skills in interprofessional communication and collaboration are included. This course includes an exploration of topics and methods of advocacy that promote the role of occupational therapy in addressing societal needs. This course meets online via both synchronous and asynchronous methods.
