OTDP 6114 Foundations of Neuroscience and Occupational Performance

This course emphasizes the examination of the theoretical explanations of occupational performance using neuroscience as a context. Contemporary concepts of brain-function that support occupation are explored with emphasis on sensory, perception, motor, and cognitive processes. Lab activities emphasize elements of the neurologic examination with an introduction to commonly employed measures and tools for assessment. This course meets online via both synchronous and asynchronous methods, and includes an experiential lab immersion.
