GSWS 400 Capstone
This one-credit course will allow students to reflect on the Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies minors and what it might mean for their future vocations. GSWS students will explore their earlier work in the minor through e-portfolios; engage in discussions with their peers, engaged faculty, and experts in the local community about ideas and themes relevant to their work; consider the importance of intersectional approaches to their future work; and prepare for the next stage of their lives beyond college. The course is designed to be taken by seniors who have completed most of the requirements for the minor; it may, under certain circumstances, be taken by juniors who have completed at least half of the requirements for the minor.
