Statistics
The Statistics minors consist of seven courses with a total of 23 credits. There are six required courses and one elective course. All courses must be taken for a letter grade, where offered. A grade of "C-" or better is required in each course.
Statistics informs our view of the world around us by teaching us how to sample and make intelligent conclusions about the population as a whole. A minor in statistics enables students to design statistical studies, analyze data properly, and draw conclusions from the analysis. This equips students with quantitative skills, analytical visual and communicative methods making students marketable in a variety of fields.

- Learn statistical computations theory and analysis
- Be able to describe, interpret, and analyze data by graphical and other means
- Understand statistical reasoning and inferential methods
- Understand intermediate probability theory with a combinatorial background
- Utilize statistical software, programs, packages
- Understand the derivation of statistical methods, recognize their use, and apply appropriate methods to data
- Understand statistical analysis
- Be able to communicate results effectively
